

French Quarter Museum Association (FQMA) is a collection of 13 museums and two museum support agencies committed to positioning its museums as an integral part of everyone's French Quarter experience.

FQMA invites locals and tourists to experience the French Quarter’s cultural corridor—moving between museums, exhibitions, performances, and activities that reflect the diverse stories that shaped the United States, many of which unfolded in New Orleans.

The Catholic Cultural Center of New Orleans strives to be a premier place for the exhibition, preservation, and discussion of Catholic culture in the southern United States. The Center leverages the deep history and beauty of its campus at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis, King of France, and the Old Ursuline Convent, as well as the unique cultural context of New Orleans.

Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses, managed by The Woman’s Exchange, preserves two 19th-century French Quarter homes and, through their architecture, collections, and history, inspires discourse about our collective past and its relevance to our present and future.

Through its collections, exhibits, educational programs, guided tours, and special events, the the Historic BK House & Gardens educates the public about the historical significance of the site, demonstrates the importance of historic preservation, and strives to raise community awareness of New Orleans cultural heritage.

The Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC) is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to the stewardship of the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South. In keeping with its founders’ wish to make New Orleans and Gulf South history accessible to the public, admission is free.

LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana's mission is to promote and encourage the protection and preservation of materials that chronicle the culture and history of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community in Louisiana. In 2026, the organization opened its Queer History Exhibit Space at 311 Burgundy Street.

The Louisiana State Museum celebrates, collects, preserves and interprets the state’s unique cultures, artistic achievements, architectural treasures, and living traditions. They engage communities, foster research, and inspire lifelong learning to ensure Louisiana’s heritage remains a vibrant, living resource for all.
French Quarter Museums:

Founded in 1950, the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum has been acquiring, preserving and interpreting an extensive collection of artifacts and resources documenting the history of pharmacy and medicine in the 19th and early to mid 20th centuries, with a particular focus on New Orleans and Louisiana.

Nous—the New Orleans Foundation for Francophone Cultures—is a nonprofit supporting the revitalization of Louisiana's heritage cultures, focusing on Cadien (Cajun), Creole, and Indigenous communities. Nous welcomes visitors to their gallery space at 602 Toulouse Street; produces films, publishes books, and records albums through their independent label; and administers funds within the communities they serve.

Founded in 1961, Preservation Hall has been dedicated to preserving New Orleans musical traditions. It has fostered a community of inclusion, committed to the preservation of New Orleans Jazz, and to caring for elder musicians. The Preservation Hall Foundation was established in 2011 with the mission to protect, preserve, and perpetuate the musical and cultural traditions of New Orleans.

Friends of the Cabildo is a private non-profit volunteer group that provides financial and volunteer support for the Louisiana State Museum, its projects and its properties.

Louisiana Museum Foundation is a nonprofit that supports, administers funding, and raises awareness for the state-owned and operated Louisiana State Museum System.
