A Free Evening of Museums, Memory, and American Stories
Presented in conjunction with America’s 250th Anniversary
French Quarter Museum Night is a free, after-hours museum evening presented by the French Quarter Museum Association (FQMA), bringing together several museums for a shared celebration of history, culture, and community in advance of America’s 250th anniversary.
On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the FQMA invites locals and tourists to experience the French Quarter’s cultural corridor—moving between museums, exhibitions, performances, and activities that reflect the diverse stories that shaped the United States, many of which unfolded in New Orleans.
The evening will provide a walkable program of museum-led experiences across the Quarter. Participating museums will offer extended gallery hours and activities ranging from music to performances and tours, welcoming visitors to experience New Orleans’ layered histories together, in the place where so many American stories began.
The evening will conclude with a closing reception from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Historic New Orleans Collection, 520 Royal Street, followed by an after party at Le Spectacle at Preservation Hall for Museum Night attendees with a cash bar and free admission, based on capacity.
French Quarter Museum Association (FQMA) is a collection of 13 museums and two museum support agencies committed to positioning its museums as an integral part of everyone's French Quarter experience. Learn more at fqma.org.
